I first took notice of Christopher Shea when he made his first TV appearance in 1997 as the Vorta Keevan on the episode
"Rocks and Shoals" from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Who was this beautiful, intriguing actor who managed to create a such an an evil yet
strangely sensuous villain by using only the power of his voice and eyes? His character laid immobile on a bed of stone for most of the
episode, yet he had an amazing, commanding presence whenever he spoke in that soft, dangerous purr. I was immediately captivated. After
Chris's second and unfortunately, last appearance as Keevan on "The Magnificent Ferengi," I was determined to find more information. I
was happy to eventually encounter other like-minded individuals known as the Vortaphiles who shared my interest of Chris's infamous character.
After months of researching and gathering what bits and pieces of information and pictures I could find, the first incarnation of this website,
formerly known as The Keevan Worship Page, was created on April of 1999. I was fortunate enough to be put in contact with Chris himself a
year later, who gave me his blessing upon the website as well as providing information on his future projects. In his subsequent TV roles,
he has demonstrated his incredible versatility by playing a wide variety of characters each with their own distinctive personality.
Chris, thank you for gracing us with your unique and wonderful talent. Whatever you do, don't stop giving your best!
